TryFatFruit.com uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the website running, understand how visitors use it, measure campaigns and, where you allow it, show you a little more FatFruit after you leave the basket.

This Cookie Policy explains how those technologies are used across TryFatFruit.com, including our regional content for Australia, Canada and Germany.

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

1. WHAT EXACTLY IS A COOKIE?

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on, or accessed through, your browser or device.

They can help a website:

  • remember your settings;
  • maintain security;
  • measure visits;
  • understand website performance;
  • record campaign attribution;
  • personalise advertising;
  • load external content.

We may also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage, software-development tools and advertising identifiers.

Whenever we refer to “cookies” in this Policy, we may also mean these related technologies where appropriate.

They are considerably less exciting than actual cookies and, unfortunately, contain no fruit.

2. THE DIFFERENT COOKIES IN THE BASKET

Not every cookie does the same thing, so we divide them into different categories.

Strictly Necessary

These technologies help with essential website functions such as:

  • security;
  • network management;
  • fraud and abuse prevention;
  • contact-form delivery;
  • remembering your cookie preferences;
  • basic website operation.

Strictly necessary technologies normally remain active because parts of TryFatFruit.com may not function properly without them.

Analytics

Analytics technologies help us understand:

  • how many people visit TryFatFruit.com;
  • which pages they view;
  • where visitors come from;
  • how long sessions last;
  • whether pages and links are working properly.

These technologies are activated only where the required consent has been provided.

Behavioural Analytics

We may use Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar to understand how people actually move around the basket.

Depending on the configuration, these tools may provide:

  • heatmaps;
  • session recordings;
  • click patterns;
  • scrolling behaviour;
  • navigation information;
  • technical performance information.

These services should be configured to mask or suppress information entered into website forms where supported.

Marketing & Retargeting

With marketing consent, Adform may use cookies or advertising identifiers to:

  • measure campaign performance;
  • record website visits;
  • create advertising audiences;
  • recognise returning browsers or devices;
  • show FatFruit-related advertising on participating websites;
  • measure resulting conversions.

Marketing technologies are not necessary for TryFatFruit.com to work.

Rejecting them will not lock you out of the fruit basket.

External Media

TryFatFruit.com may include embedded YouTube videos.

External-media content should remain blocked until you accept the relevant consent category.

Where technically available, we intend to use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.

Affiliate & Campaign Attribution

Campaign-tracking technologies may record information such as:

  • campaign ID;
  • affiliate ID;
  • click ID;
  • referring page;
  • destination page;
  • registration conversion;
  • deposit conversion;
  • promotion-related conversion events.

TryFatFruit.com and FatFruit Casino do not directly share browser cookies.

Tracking parameters may instead be passed through the destination URL, while relevant conversion outcomes may later be reported through our attribution systems.

3. WHAT TECHNOLOGY DOES TRYFATFRUIT.COM USE?

Webflow

TryFatFruit.com is hosted through Webflow, which also processes information submitted through our website contact forms.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare helps provide website security, content delivery and traffic management. It may process technical information necessary to protect and deliver the website.

Cookie Consent Platform

We use a consent-management platform to record and apply visitors' cookie choices.

That platform is what allows you to decide whether optional cookies stay in the basket or get thrown out.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to organise and control website tags.

Having Google Tag Manager installed does not mean that every analytics or advertising service automatically loads when you visit the website.

Optional analytics, behavioural, advertising and external-media technologies should respect the consent choice you make.

Google Analytics 4

With analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 may be used to understand website traffic, page performance and general visitor behaviour.

Microsoft Clarity

With the appropriate consent, Microsoft Clarity may provide session recordings, heatmaps and interaction information showing how visitors navigate TryFatFruit.com.

Hotjar

Hotjar may also be used for heatmaps, session recordings and website-interaction analysis after the appropriate consent has been provided.

Adform

With marketing consent, Adform may be used for:

  • advertising measurement;
  • campaign attribution;
  • audience creation;
  • retargeting;
  • conversion measurement.

Adform may recognise a browser or device and place it into an appropriate advertising audience.

This is the technology responsible for some of the fruit potentially following you around after you leave TryFatFruit.com.

YouTube

TryFatFruit.com may contain YouTube videos.

The player should remain blocked until you accept external-media cookies, and we intend to use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where technically possible.

Campaign & Affiliate Tracking

Separate attribution technology may also be used to record campaign IDs, affiliate IDs, click IDs and reported conversions.

This helps us understand whether someone who followed a TryFatFruit.com link later:

  • registered;
  • deposited;
  • claimed a promotion;
  • completed another defined campaign action at FatFruit Casino.

4. THE LIVE COOKIE LIST

Cookie names, providers and expiry periods can change when technology providers update their services.

Instead of maintaining a static list that may already be overripe by the time somebody reads it, the current live cookie declaration should be available through our Cookie Settings interface.

For active technologies, that declaration should identify information such as:

  • cookie or storage name;
  • provider;
  • purpose;
  • category;
  • expiry period;
  • whether it is first-party or third-party.

That live declaration forms part of this Cookie Policy.

5. HOW LONG DO COOKIES AND RELATED DATA LAST?

Different technologies have different retention periods.

Our intended service-level retention periods include:

Cookie preferences: normally around 6–12 months, after which we may ask you to make your selection again.

Consent records: up to 3 years after your most recent consent choice.

Google Analytics 4 user and event data: up to 14 months.

Microsoft Clarity session recordings: approximately 30 days.

Microsoft Clarity aggregated click and heatmap data: up to 13 months.

Hotjar heatmaps and session recordings: up to 365 days, depending on the active configuration and plan.

Adform retargeting audiences: up to 180 days, or a shorter campaign-specific period.

Campaign click IDs, affiliate-attribution records and conversion events: up to 24 months.

General website security and server logs: up to 90 days.

Information connected to suspected fraud, security incidents, legal complaints or investigations may be retained longer where reasonably necessary.

Individual browser cookies may expire sooner or later than these general periods. The current duration of each active cookie should be shown in the live Cookie Settings declaration.

Not everything in the basket needs to stay fresh forever.

6. GOOGLE TAG MANAGER & CONSENT

Google Tag Manager helps us organise and deploy website technologies.

It should not be treated as permission for every connected service to start loading immediately.

Where consent is required, technologies such as:

  • Google Analytics 4;
  • Microsoft Clarity;
  • Hotjar;
  • Adform;
  • external-media services;

must follow the visitor's consent selection.

Where configured, Google's consent functionality can also change how analytics technologies operate when analytics storage has been denied.

7. MICROSOFT CLARITY

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors navigate and interact with TryFatFruit.com.

Where consent is required, Clarity should be configured so that relevant cookies are not set before valid consent has been received.

The implementation should pass the visitor's selection through Microsoft's supported consent mechanisms or through our consent-management platform.

8. HOTJAR

Hotjar may be used after consent to create:

  • heatmaps;
  • session replays;
  • general interaction information.

Hotjar's recording tools are designed to suppress keystroke data in website input fields by default.

Even so, our implementation should be tested to confirm that contact-form fields and other potentially sensitive areas are appropriately suppressed.

And visitors should still avoid putting sensitive information into ordinary website forms.

9. ADFORM RETARGETING

Adform helps us measure campaigns and, where you allow it, retarget visitors with FatFruit-related advertising.

After marketing consent, Adform may use tracking technologies to:

  • recognise a browser or device;
  • record relevant website interactions;
  • create advertising audiences;
  • measure advertising performance;
  • determine whether an advertisement later resulted in a conversion.

Rejecting marketing cookies does not prevent you from using TryFatFruit.com.

It simply means that we should not use Adform cookies or advertising identifiers through this website for personalised retargeting.

In short: you can visit the fruit stand without asking the lemons to follow you home.

10. YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Embedded YouTube videos should initially appear as a placeholder, thumbnail or consent notice.

The actual player should load only after the visitor accepts the external-media category.

Where technically available, we intend to use the youtube-nocookie.com privacy-enhanced domain.

Once a YouTube player has been activated, Google may process information associated with the browser, device and video interaction under its own privacy terms.

11. YOU CONTROL THE COOKIE JAR

When you first visit TryFatFruit.com, our consent banner should give you clear options to:

Accept All
Reject All
Open Settings

Within Settings, you should be able to control categories such as:

  • analytics;
  • behavioural analytics;
  • marketing and retargeting;
  • external media.

Strictly necessary technologies remain active where required for website operation and security.

A permanent Cookie Settings link should also be available in the footer so you can change or withdraw your choices later.

Accepting everything once does not mean you have to live with that decision forever.

12. YOUR BROWSER HAS CONTROLS TOO

Most modern browsers let you:

  • see stored cookies;
  • delete cookies;
  • block cookies;
  • restrict third-party storage;
  • clear local website data.

Blocking all cookies may affect some website functions, including contact forms or the website's ability to remember your consent preferences.

Browser settings may also not prevent every form of server-side campaign attribution or processing that does not rely on browser storage.

Those activities are explained further in our Privacy Policy.

13. OUR REGIONAL CONSENT APPROACH

TryFatFruit.com intends to use a consent-first approach across its Australian, Canadian and German regional versions.

In Germany, non-essential access to or storage of information on a visitor's device will generally require consent unless a relevant legal exemption applies.

Canadian privacy requirements also place importance on knowledge and consent in connection with online behavioural advertising.

Rather than running three completely different cookie baskets, our intention is to apply a clear consent approach across the regional sites.

14. TRACKED LINKS TO FATFRUIT CASINO

Some TryFatFruit.com links leading to FatFruit Casino may contain:

  • UTM parameters;
  • campaign identifiers;
  • affiliate or referral identifiers;
  • click IDs;
  • other attribution information.

This allows us to identify which TryFatFruit page or campaign generated a particular visit.

FatFruit Casino may then report certain defined events back to the attribution system, such as a registration, deposit or promotion claim.

This does not mean TryFatFruit.com receives access to the visitor's complete casino account.

We may know that somebody took a piece of fruit from one basket to the other. We do not suddenly get access to everything inside their wallet.

15. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

Technology changes. Providers change. Cookies change.

We may therefore update this Policy when:

  • a provider is added or removed;
  • cookie purposes change;
  • retention settings change;
  • website functionality changes;
  • applicable legal or regulatory requirements change.

The newest version will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.

We try to keep this Policy considerably fresher than the average browser cookie.

That is the cookie side of the basket: essential technologies keep the site running, optional technologies wait for the appropriate consent, and you can come back to Cookie Settings whenever you want to change what is allowed inside.
